There’s a reason why, at age 43 and after 22-plus years on the PGA Tour, Tiger Woods still brings out more fans than any other golfer. It’s because he’s the goddamn G.O.A.T.

And there’s a reason why Tiger Woods is the goddamn G.O.A.T. and it has to do with the fact that from a very early age he has just flat-out worked harder than pretty much any other golfer on the planet.

For proof of these facts, Woods posted a video to Nike Golf’s Instagram stories which shows him getting up a 1:00 a.m. to prepare himself for the 2019 British Open taking place at the Royal Portrush Golf Club in Northern Ireland from July 18th through the 21st.

Why on Earth would he be getting up at 1 a.m. to train for a golf tournament that’s still 10 days away? I’ll let him tell you…

“Hey Nike, it’s Tiger. Wake Up! It is now 1 a.m. here on the East Coast,” says Woods in the video. “Why am I doing this right now? Because it is now 6 a.m. at Royal Portrush. I will be playing the Open Championship there and in order to be prepared for the time change, I am getting up.”

“If you want to succeed, if you want to get better, if you want to win, if you want to accomplish your goals, it all starts with getting up early in the morning. Have a great day.”
