Viewers Hilariously React To Thrilling, Inaudible Play Call Of South Carolina’s Buzzer Beater Against Ole Miss

The South Carolina Gamecocks took down SEC rival Ole Miss on Tuesday in a thrilling overtime matchup. The game went down to the wire, with Frank Martin’s group pulling off the improbable 77-74 win.

With just two seconds left on the clock in a tie game, South Carolina guard James Reese heaved a half court prayer that banked off the glass and through the net as time expired. The shot gave the Gamecocks a huge conference win as they hope to improve their postseason chances in the season’s final month.

The game was back and forth throughout. Ole Miss held a one-point lead at halftime. South Carolina used an 11-3 run to overcome a late deficit and gain a lead in the final minute. Rebel gaurd Jarkel Joiner then tied the game at 68 apiece by hitting a layup with 1.7 seconds remaining.

The Gamecocks missed a half court three in regulation, but they’d make it count in overtime.

With the score tied at 74, South Carolina inbounded to Reese, who banked in the game-winner from midcourt. The shot sent the Rebels out with a delating SEC loss on their home floor.

The exciting finish had South Carolina fans jumping for joy while the Rebels were in disbelief. The wild ending seemed to catch the game’s announcers off guard, too.

Joe Kleine and Kevin Fitzgerald were on the call, and when the final bucket went down, Kleine had trouble forming words. He just emphatically shouted, “Oh, Oh” over and over again.
