The Washington Commanders shocked the world after upsetting the Philadelphia Eagles. Afterward, they celebrated by icing out quarterback Taylor Heinicke similar to the Minnesota Vikings decking Kirk Cousins in chains. Now, cornerback Kris Boyd is calling out Washington for copying them.
Boyd took to social media and put the Commanders on blast. The Vikings cornerback clearly didn’t like seeing Washington copy Minnesota’s celebratory “icing out the quarterback.” Kris Boyd probably went a little far claiming, “[Heinicke] couldn’t hold Kirk jockstrap!!”
Stop trynna fucking be us…Lames…He couldn’t hold Kirk jockstrap!! Find your own trend!…Y’all shit don’t even look like y’all having fun enjoying it.. https://t.co/ubGcoSrRtb

What a ruthless assault on the Commanders. We’re all very well Taylor Heinicke is no Kirk Cousins. However, Washington was just trying to have a little fun after giving the Eagles their first loss of the season. Regardless, the Vikings cornerback wasn’t a fan of it and promptly let them know.
Maybe this means more teams will copy the Kirk Cousins trend. They do say the NFL is a copycat league, don’t they? The Arizona Cardinals did the same thing decking Patrick Peterson in jewelry too after catching the game-winning interception over the Buffalo Bills.
At the end of the day, you’d think Kris Boyd would be happy being a part of a team that set the trend. Oh well, hopefully, the Vikings can keep winning games though, because we want to see how far they’ll go icing out Kirk Cousins.
