Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson appeared visibly dejected on the sidelines immediately after his team’s loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Jefferson, who had a stellar first half with 7 receptions for 138 yards, only managed 2 catches for 12 yards in the second half.

In a post-game interview, Jefferson addressed concerns about his contract situation and his commitment to the team.Jefferson expressed his determination to stay focused on football.

Jefferson stated: “I know my team. My team doesn’t care about the contract, you know? And I don’t either.

Jefferson’s full quote: “I have the same mindset as I had before. At the end of the day, all I can do is play football. And that’s what I continue to do. I know my team. My team doesn’t care about the contract, you know? And I don’t either. I just want to be here for my teammates, play for my teammates and of course get these wins.”

The 24-year-old wide receiver and the Vikings are currently engaged in contract negotiations.

Jefferson, a first-round pick in 2020, has already made a significant impact in his three seasons with the team, amassing 324 catches for 4,825 yards and 25 touchdowns.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding his contract, Jefferson remains dedicated to his teammates and the pursuit of success on the field.
