Just yesterday it was reported by Bleacher Report’s Matt Miller that Redskins QB Kirk Cousins has eliminated the Denver Broncos and Arizona Cardinals and is now choosing between two teams, the NY Jets and the Minnesota Vikings.

“It’s down to two teams, that’s what I’ve been told by multiple people,” “It’s down to two teams, the New York Jets and the Minnesota Vikings.”

According to former Redskins tight end Chris Cooley, he heard that Cousins was being offered over $90 million guaranteed by the Vikings.

I heard, not from anyone in the Redskins and not from anyone in the Kirk Cousins camp, but from another agent,” said Cooley, “was $31 (million) a year for three years in fully guaranteed money.”

For comparison’s sake, last month the San Francisco 49ers gave Jimmy Garoppolo a five-year/ $135 million dollar deal but only guaranteed about $41 million.

If Kirk Cousins gets $30 million guaranteed per season just imagine how much Aaron Rodgers is going to get for his new deal.

Update on the #Packers Aaron Rodgers contract extension. I heard it was extremely close. But a trusted source told me the two sides are simply talking and that Rodgers’ extension is unlikely to be done until after the Kirk Cousins deal comes in. Which makes a lot of sense.
