It appears that Washington head coach Ron Rivera is a big fan of the movie the “Little Giants.”
On Thursday during the team’s Thanksgiving Day game against the Cowboys, Washington successfully ran a variation of the “fumblerooski”.

After the game, Rivera spoke to the media and confirmed that the play was inspired by the classic kid’s movie “The Little Giants” and the annexation of Puerto Rico play that’s featured in the film.
Rivera said, yes, that was the Annexation of Puerto Rico play from the Little Giants… Gave a nod to Bum Phillips and said they called it the Bumarooski. Rivera said he probably watched that movie "100 times" because his kids liked it so much.

Just finished watching Ron Rivera's presser and Scott Turner did call the Annexation of Puerto Rico play from Little Giants. I take back every negative thing I said about him after calling that reverse the other week. #WashingtonFootball https://t.co/omoTV2qGhf pic.twitter.com/MOHRbpFfSx

Here’s a clip of the annexation of Puerto Rico play from The Little Giants for those who never watched the movie.
