The Philadelphia Eagles are currently in the midst of a three-game skid that feels like it has no end in sight.
That slide began with a 42-19 butt kicking at the hands of the San Francisco 49ers in a game that saw Niners linebacker Dre Greenlaw get ejected for a side altercation with Eagles staffer Dom DiSandro.
During Monday night’s loss to the Seattle Seahawks, Philadelphia superstar wideout AJ Brown was involved in a similar incident when he appeared to shove a member of the Seahawks staff.

So, why weren’t Brown and the staffer ejected the way Greenlaw and DiSandro were?
As it turns out, the Seahawks staffer was not actually a staffer after all.
From The Insiders on #NFLPlus and @nflnetwork: If you were wondering why a non-player on the #Seahawks’ sideline didn’t get the Dom DiSandro treatment for getting into it with the #Eagles’ A.J. Brown, it’s in part because he actually is a player — practice-squad OL Joey Hunt. pic.twitter.com/FRrcUpCLBO

Mike Garofolo of NFL Network reports that it was actually Seattle practice squad offensive lineman Joey Hunt.
Now, did the referees know this at the time? Probably not.
But it goes a long way toward explaining why neither player is likely to face any punishment.
According to the Seahawks roster, Hunt is a 29-year-old, five-year veteran out of TCU.
He began his career in Seattle and spent three years with the organization before a year in Indianapolis.
Over those five years, he’s appeared in 35 games and made 11 starts. Eight of which came for the Seahawks in 2019.
Not exactly a world-beater of a resume.
Brown, meanwhile, is one of the league’s best players regardless of position.
So had they both been ejected, that’s like a trade that Seattle would be more than happy to make.
