Will Howard is fresh off of a college football national championship in his lone year at Ohio State. With the NFL Draft still three months away, he is taking every opportunity to get a little extra money in his pocket before he turns pro.
His latest partnership went extremely viral — perhaps for all of the wrong reasons.
Howard posted a needlessly sassy video to Instagram on Friday morning. It also served as his modeling debut.
You just got rizzed up by the starting quarterback at Ohio State!
Although the video is all in good fun and entirely unserious, the comment section was torn on how to feel. Some people thought it was hilarious. Others found it to be “sus” — as the kids would say.
Howard’s teammates, both past and present, also had a good laugh. They absolutely roasted the 23-year-old quarterback for his slightly fruity demeanor.
Tavien St. Clair and Brendan Sorsby wanted to know what they just watched. Ben Sinnott said he can’t keep defending Howard. Tyliek Williams replied with 18 laughing emojis and a “hell nah.”
The jokes did not stop there! Seth McLaughlin referred to Howard as a “sassy queen.” R.J. Day, the son of head coach Ryan Day, said the video “sums him up as a person perfectly.”
Tight End Patrick Gurd asked “what in the Zoolander is this” while former Kansas State wide receiver R.J. Garcia quipped that the “bag better have been outrageous for this to come out of the drafts.”
Although the majority of commenters had a laugh at Will Howard’s expense, it was not everybody! Nolan Baudo said he doesn’t even really like Dr Pepper but “sign him tf up.”
At the end of the day, Dr Pepper got exactly what it was going for. Thousands of people got eyes on its product. The campaign worked, even if Will Howard got roasted in the process!
