The Minnesota Lynx evened up their WNBA Playoff series with the Connecticut Sun on Tuesday with an emphatic 77-70 win. After splitting a pair of contests at home, the squad will now head to Uncasville for Game 3.

It was a big win for the Lynx, who couldn’t afford to hit the road in an 0-2 series deficit. Rather than fall one game closer to elimination, they sent the Minnesota crowd home with a victory.

Game 2 was a close battle throughout, though the Lynx led for the last 29 minutes of play. The win avenged a 73-70 loss in the series opener.

Alyssa Thomas and DeWanna Bonner shined in Game 1, scoring nine of the team’s final 11 points to help secure a come-from-behind victory. The duo totaled 27 points and 21 boards in the paint while also dishing out a combined 14 assists in that opener.

While they’d again be productive on Tuesday, they made social media headlines for all the wrong reasons!

Thomas and Bonner are a couple on top of being WNBA teammates. The pair got engaged in 2023, though wedding plans are currently on hold given the basketball season timeline.

They’re looking for different rings this fall!

Unfortunately, Myisha Hines-Allen helped put a brief hold on those league title ambitions this week.

In Game 2, the reserve forward was seen bullying her way through a helpless DeWanna Bonner on her way to an easy layup before then disrespectfully celebrating in Alyssa Thomas’s face!

The bucket represented two of Hines-Allen’s six points, which she earned in just 11 minutes of action. She also added six boards and shot 75% from the field.

She was on a mission!

Thomas and Bonner did their parts outside of this isolated play, combining for 35 points, 16 boards, and 10 assists. It wouldn’t be enough to land a WNBA Playoff win, though.

Game 3 is set to tip off on Friday. We’ll see if the Sun can avenge the loss.
