Tyreek Hill and the Miami Dolphins couldn’t handle the juggernaut … *checks notes* … Tennessee Titans on Sunday in the NFL’s Week 4 slate. They were handed an XL slice of humble pie without quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and a frustrated Tyreek Hill was only able to catch 4 passes for 23 yards while the Phins lost 31-12 at home.
In the aftermath of Miami’s humbling, footage went viral showing Tyreek Hill frustrated on the sidelines. He was seen screaming and yelling and the story garnered to much attention that Miami head coach Mike McDaniel even responded to the sideline tirade.
McDaniel said “I would expect him to be visibly upset at somebody. A lot of times guys can be yelling at — he’s a leader and he wanted to do everything that he could to make sure the result wasn’t that. Within the locker room there’s a lot of guys challenging each other and we get an opportunity to see what we’re made of for sure.”
Tyreek Hill opted to not speak to the media after the loss but took time on Wednesday to tell reporters that he wasn’t frustrated on the sidelines despite video showing otherwise. Here he is speaking to reporters today:

Hill said he wouldn’t refer to what he was doing on the sidelines “as shouting” and told South Florida Sun Sentinel‘s David Furones that what he was doing was “wasn’t frustration, that was just me motivating my teammates.”
Totally. Everything about this screams motivational to me:

HE CONTINUES TO SCREAM & YELL

Everyone responds differently to motivational tactics. In all likelihood the frustrated Tyreek Hill was attempting to motivate his teammates. But to tell us there wasn’t an element of frustration is asking us to not believe what we can see with our own eyes.
