Cowboys offensive lineman Zack Martin was QUICK to stand up for Dak Prescott during Sunday’s NFL game against the Bills. All 315 pounds of him got right up in Taylor Rapp’s face as a kerfuffle broke out in Buffalo!
The incident took place during the first quarter.
Prescott escaped the broken pocket and rolled out to his right before taking off up the field. Tony Pollard set a great block to his right that allowed him to easily scamper for a first down.
Dallas’ quarterback passed the line to gain, saw Rapp in his path and started to slide. Prescott got licked while already down with a hit to his helmet.
Rapp was flagged. As was Martin, who came sprinting in from near the line of scrimmage to lay him out.
The late hit from Rapp did not go over well with the Cowboys. The swift action from Martin did not go over well with the Bills, especially after he stood over the lamenting safety as he laid on the turf.
Thus, with neither side satisfied with what went down, pushing and shoving ensued.
Fortunately, Prescott was okay. So was Rapp, who definitely flopped just a little bit.
Martin decked him, no doubt. However, Rapp sold the penalty as best he could.

Offensive linemen are the most under-appreciated group in football. The offense cannot function without them and they are the heartbeat of the locker room. If your tackle has your back as a quarterback, like Martin does Prescott, then you’re in great hands.
Unfortunately, Dallas was unable to rally from Martin’s injection of energy and they were ultimately forced to punt. It was not the most violent fight we have seen this NFL season, but the way in which it went down was among the most entertaining!
