Christie Brinkley Hospitalized After Being Attacked By A Bird On, You Guessed It ‘Parrot Island’

When Christie Brinkley got on the flight to Parrot Cay (Island) in the Turks and Caicos Islands she was hoping for a relaxing vacation on the beach, as supermodels are entitled to. But when she forced to board a plane back to Miami and rush to the hospital with career threatening injuries she must’ve been pondering ‘was that trip to Bird Island worth it?’

In the Caribbean ‘cay’ is just another word for ‘island’, thus ‘Parrot Cay’ essentially translates to ‘Bird Island’. It was at Parrot Cay where 61-year-old Christie Brinkley was dive bombed by a vicious bird, leaving her with serious wounds requiring stitches from a Miami hospital, and which caused her to cut her vacation short.

Here’s Christi Brinkley’s post on Instagram detailing her bird attack on Bird Island:

The caption reads:

We interrupt this holiday to take a little unplanned excursion to Miami for cat scans and stitches following an accident trying to save a bird. My grateful heartfelt thanks go out to our wonderful Parrot Cay Family who got me to the boat and plane, and my friends in Miami who found my A Team at University of Miami Hospital led by Dr Askari and his professional caring and adorable team and to my bestie @artminster who spent her much needed and deserved holiday by my bedside .. I ca’t possibly thank you enough and I offer you a pain check .. I mean rain check! Lol! @artminster #grateful #thankful #itcouldhavebeenworse! #youneverknow #liveachday

A bird attack on Parrot Island, whodathunk it? CT Scans and stitches out of nowhere, all from an angry bird who didn’t like the cut of this supermodel’s jib. What kind of world are we living in if supermodels are no longer safe to lounge on the beach and tan their perfectly toned bodies without fear of being attacked by birds and having their million dollar faces mangled? She doesn’t explicitly state what kind of bird it was that mangled her face and necessitated the stitches, so here’s my plan to make sure this doesn’t happen again….

I’m not so sure this is a world I want to live in, so for the sake of Christie Brinkley I’m just going to put this out there: let’s exterminate all the birds on planet earth. With no birds left to attack supermodels we won’t have to worry about another incident like this ever taking place. And we can all move along with living our happy lives.
