Calling all Denim Dans, grab your best Canadian Tuxedo and some mozzarella sticks at your favorite restaurant with goofy shit on the walls and get ready to party because we are VERY close to actually getting our eyeballs on a real life “Super Troopers 2” movies!!! Production of “Super Troopers 2” has been completed! You smell something, Rabbit? Excitement.

This exhilarating news will have you more excited than some cops popping some Viagras and issue tickets with raging, mega-huge boners. The Broken Lizard crew revealed on their website that the highly-anticipated sequel to the 2001 cult comedy has “officially finished the editing/post production process.” Vermont State Trooper Rod Farva in Super Troopers AKA actor Kevin Heffernan provided the update:
This past week we completed the Sound Mix and Color Correction, the final steps in bringing this baby to life. We’re very excited. By way of explanation, the sound mix is the final sound step. This is the time when you assemble all the sound elements people have been working on for weeks: the score and pre recorded songs, sound effects, any additional dialogue recorded and the sound we recorded on the day we filmed. You take all those elements into a theater sized room with all of the players: the Sound Mixer, the Sound Designer, the Music Editor, the Picture Editor and basically you go scene by scene and make sure the elements work and compliment each other: Music not too loud, dialogue all in the right place, fart sound effects rich and deep enough. Jay, Rich Perello (our Producer) and I joined that process which takes about 4 days or so. When we were done it all sounded beautiful.
With the picture and sound done, we marry the two together and boom…. final product. We’ve been in post for the last 8 months, always looking at an unfinished product. Now we get to watch the film in all its glory…. and that is an amazing feeling.
So… we get to see it now?
Next step: We await our release date. Fox Searchlight has reviewed the finished product and will soon inform us of the plan. When we have the release date you will be the first to know. That’s when trailers, posters and all the promo materials will launch. It’s painful to wait for this process because we’re dying to share this film with you, but each step takes us closer. Again, we could not have done this without you and we thank you for all of your help.
