Kansas big man Hunter Dickinson will be back in Lawrence next season, making the Jayhawks an immediate national title favorite heading into the 2024-25 campaign.

In doing so, he somehow managed to out-cringe his own level of corniness!

Dickinson will be a major player in Bill Self’s attack next season, and a big reason why the head coach was so eager to move on after last year’s NCAA Tournament exit.

That roster is already shaping up to be full of star power.

Self landed AJ Storr earlier this offseason, arguably the top guard in the transfer portal. He followed up by swiping Rylan Griffen from Final Four squad Alabama. In all, he’s landed a quartet of four-star transfers with that duo joining Zeke Mayo and Riley Kugel.

Those new faces are now part of a squad set to return seniors Dajuan Harris and KJ Adams, with a pair of highly touted freshmen making their ways to campus, too.

Now, the final piece has made his decision.

Hunter Dickinson will return to Kansas for one final season.

He announced the plan to give it one last go on social media Friday.

In a scripted online conversation with Bill Self, Dickinson said, “I’m coming back!” His 17.9 points and 10.9 rebounds per game will return with him, as will that corniness!

For those that might’ve forgotten, the center landed some flak for a video posted last offseason when he announced a transfer from Michigan to Kansas.

It’s safe to say that not much has changed!

Cringe or not, Dickinson’s production on the court can’t be denied. He’ll look to lead the Jayhawks to a championship in 2025.
