The Title Of ‘Episode VIII’ Is ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’

Star Wars Episode VIII director Rian Johnson has said he has known the title for the highly anticipated upcoming chapter for a few years now. Finally, the title has been released and it is Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Star Wars: Episode 8, which has a release date of December 15, 2017, features a cast that includes Daisy Ridley as Rey, John Boyega as Finn, Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron, and Mark Hamill as of course Luke Skywalker.

Lucasfilm released the following statement:

We have the greatest fans in this or any other galaxy. In appreciation of the fans, we wanted them to be the first to know the title of the next chapter in the Skywalker saga: STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI. THE LAST JEDI is written and directed by Rian Johnson and produced by Kathleen Kennedy and Ram Bergman and executive produced by J.J. Abrams, Jason McGatlin, and Tom Karnowski. STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI is scheduled for release December 15, 2017.

There’s only 325 days, 12 hours, and 21 minutes until Star Wars: The Last Jedi smashes into theaters.
