Dog who served four tours of duty in Middle East laid to rest

This video of a dog who served four tours in the Middle East and is now being put down is a sad but important one to watch.

The accompanying article on WQAD features a quote from Freddie the bomb-sniffing golden retriever’s owner, Ryan Anderson, that’s pretty poignant:

“Fellow soldier. Friend. Companion. He’ll never be replaced. I know that.

“As far as I’m concerned, he’s a vet. They’re all vets.”
