Five Guys Was Just Voted The Best Burger Chain In America
I love a good conversation about fast food burgers.
If you ever want to get to really know someone, ask them about their favorite fast food burger chains. You’ll know everything you need to know with their response: In-N-Out means they’re heart is on the West Coast. Shake Shack means they’re a coastal elitist who loves a good potato roll. Whataburger means they’re from Texas or Florida, or at least went to college in one of those states. Five Guys means they’ve probably spent more than one weekend in Ocean City, Maryland in their life, plus *probably* live within a 300-mile radius of Washington D.C. They also know a thing or two about a greasy bag of fresh fries.
There conversations define friendships and relationships. And if they’re a vegetarian or food elitist who prefers tofu salad over a greasy grilled fast food burger, judge the hell of out them.
My point: There’s a certain regional colloquialism in taste when it comes to fast food burgers. As an American, your favorite fast food burger chain has more to do with the geography of where you call home than ingredients that making it “the best.”
There’s now quantifiable proof on which chain has the best burger thanks to a Harris Poll’s EquiTrend Study. They polled 100,000 all around the country on the best burger chain. The result was unanimous, surprising Left Coasters everywhere:Five Guys Burgers and Fries holds the current title of the best chain burger in America, toppling In-N-Out from the #1 spot for the last two years.
