Ayyub Faleh al-Rubaie is commonly known as Abu Azrael, but also has the nicknames “Iraqi Rambo” and “father of archangel of death.” He earned those nicknames by reportedly killing at least 1,500 Islamic State terrorists. Now this military hero sets his sights on the Iraqi city of Fallujah, which is currently controlled by ISIS.
Abu Azrael is the commander of the Kataib al-Imam Ali Brigade, an Iraqi Shia militia group of the Popular Mobilisation Forces. The black-bearded, sword and axe-wielding fighter has become a celebrity for defending his country and annihilating hordes of ISIS fighters.
The Iraqi Rambo gained notoriety after footage was released of him slicing up a Daesh jihadist that he set on fire and proclaimed, “ISIS this will be your fate, we will cut you like shawarma.”
There is videos of Abu Azrael taking the walkie-talkie of a dead Daesh fighter and using it to talk shit to ISIL terrorists. Another video shows him stealing a teapot from a captured ISIS base.
Abu Azrael, the 40-year-old father-of-five, was once a university lecturer and Iraq’s former national taekwondo champion. He left his home in June 2014 to destroy Islamic State.
New footage shows the huge Iraqi Rambo on the frontline of Fallujah spraying a machine gun as the Iraqi forces prepare to retake the city.
There is allegedly up to 90,000 stuck in the ISIS stronghold. It is reported that the invasion of Fallujah has begun by special forces and 71 have been killed.
Iraqi Rambo is sure to get some more shawarma and a new teapot in the coming weeks.
