The Red Power Ranger Has Been Arrested For Murdering His Roommate With A ‘Conan The Barbarian’ Sword

The Red Ranger is a murderer, says the L.A. County D.A.’s Office.

Ricardo Medina Jr., one of the stars of Power Rangers Samurai (2011) and Power Rangers Wild Force (2002), has been arrested for the second time and charged for the murder of his roommate, according to TMZ.

The 38-year-old was arrested about a year ago for stabbing Josh Sutter multiple times with a “Conan the Barbarian” sword in their Palmdale, California apartment after a dispute broke out over Medina’s girlfriend being over the apartment too often. At that time, authorities were unable to arrest Medina, and called for an investigator to accrue more information–namely toxicology results.

New reports indicate that Medina has been re-arrested Thursday morning by L.A. County Sheriff’s detective outside his house. The District Attorney has already charged him with one count of murder.

According to TMZ, the family of the victim believes Medina was charged because evidence didn’t back up his self defense story. Most notably, Medina told police that he had retreated to his room to escape the altercation, but evidence shows that Josh had defensive wounds on his hands, and most of the blood was outside of Medina’s room.

If convicted, Medina faces 26 years to life in prison.

It’s a bit freaky to see Medina holding a sword here.
