U.S. Student Dressed Up As A Creepy Clown Got BLOWN UP In Cambodia After Freaking Out Local Residents
If it wasn’t before, this whole creepy clown epidemic is now officially out of hand.
We already know that it’s causing all sorts of weirdness here in America and has even spread to the United Kingdom (where if Conor McGregor sees one he’s going to beat the shit out of it), but Cambodia? C’mon…
Turns out that dressing like a creepy clown in a place like Cambodia, however, is REALLY not a smart move.
Reports The Mirror…
A creepy ‘killer clown’ has died after being chased by furious locals before reportedly stepping on a landmine.
The unfortunate man trod on the deadly trap after scaring residents in Samraong in northwestern Cambodia.Locals then chased the clown, which they thought was an ‘evil spirit’, into a nearby jungle and later heard a blast and realised the prankster had stepped on a mine.
Police were called but the man could not be identified as a result of his injuries.
He is believed to be a 25-year-old student who had returned from the US to visit relatives in the south-east Asian country.
As reported by the Times of Cambodia, a police captain said: “A group of men came out of their houses and gave chase to the man wearing the mask.
“They didn’t want to hurt him, but they wanted to find out who it was and make him apologise to the people he’d scared.”
But according to the police, they stopped chasing him when they got to the nearby jungle and shouted warnings about the dangers in the area. And the captain added: “But he just kept running, and moments later their worst fears were realised when an explosion rang out.”
That… has to be one of the worst ways to go.
Perhaps this story will FINALLY put an end to idiots dressing up as scary clowns. (Of course it won’t, because, people. I am so not looking forward to Halloween.)
