Conor McGregor Refuses To Fight In Nevada After Being Fined $150k For Throwing Water Bottle At Nate Diaz

Conor McGregor was not happy about getting fined $150k by the Nevada State Athletic Commission for throwing a water bottle Nate Diaz before UFC 202.

According to UFC President Dana White, McGregor has told him that he doesn’t want to fight in Nevada ever again because of the fine.

“Conor McGregor hit me yesterday and said ‘I don’t ever want to fight in Nevada again, ever.’” White recounted. “Now how does that make sense for the state of Nevada? That you’re going to try to fine this kid and Nate that much money, it just makes people not want to come fight in out state and that’s not a good thing.”

Guess what? Conor McGregor doesn’t need Nevada,” “He can fight anywhere. He can fight in Iowa, we can put his fight on an island off the coast of anywhere. This makes no sense for the state. This makes no sense for the state. It’s just terrible.

Before McGregors hearing, The Nevada Attorney General had recommended a $25,000 fine and 25 community service hours but the NSAC ended up giving the Irishman a $150,000 fine and 50 hours of work in the community “to be taught a lesson” and “humbled as it relates to dealing with the public”.

The NSAC is out of control.
