The NBA’s new Slam Dunk Contest debuted last night and it was downright awful. Confusing rules led to disappointment when the contest ended abruptly and John Wall was crowned the winner. If you didn’t watch, it’s hard to describe just how stupid and awkward the whole thing seemed.
That said, Wall’s sole individual dunk was pretty spectacular.
With the help of the Washington Wizards mascot, the young phenom authored a mind-blowing reverse jam. He then danced as if no one was watching, which honestly may have been the highlight of the supposedly “fun” night.
