D’Angelo Russell was drafted by the LA Lakers just two years ago with the second pick because they wanted him to be their point guard of the future, but that all could be ending soon now that the team has its eyes on UCLA standout Lonzo Ball.
Yesterday, Ball worked out with the Lakers and he’s already talking like he’s going to be Russell’s replacement.
Lonzo on the Lakers: "They have a lot of good players. I just think they need a leader at point guard. I feel I can bring that to the team."

Just a few weeks ago Russell was caught liking this post on Twitter saying that the Lakers would be crazy to dump him for Lonzo Ball.

While the Lakers could keep Russell and move him to the shooting guard position it seems likely that they’re going to decide to move him before the draft.
