Ray Lewis has posted a powerful plea to those rioting in Baltimore, asking them to stop the destruction. A clearly fired-up Lewis implores kids to get off the streets, go home and stay home.
…That dude can still give a pregame speech. Damn.
It’s hard to watch and not feel riled up.
Now, let’s get the obvious out of the way. There are plenty of people who aren’t interested in anything Lewis has to say and he has no one to blame for that but himself. But his importance and stature in Baltimore is significant, having spent his entire NFL career there.
And you can’t knock his message, even if you have a problem with the messenger.
