Red Gerard is without a doubt the most chill gold medal winner in American Olympics history.
He’s a 17-year-old bro from Ohio, living in Colorado but now he’s in Pyeongchang winning Gold medals and breaking records. Winning America’s first gold medal of the 2018 Winter Olympic games and becoming the first gold medalist born in the year 2000 when he won the snowboard slopestyle event.
Since his huge victory, Red has become a fan favorite and stolen the media’s spotlight. The day of his gold medal victory, Red was taking questions from the media about his experience.
One media member asked Red if his family was having a good time while supporting him in South Korea. Red answered by telling them he received at Snapchat from his family at 8:30am while he was riding up the mountain. In the video, his crew was all shotgunning beers to get hyped for Red’s big ride for gold.
