You can call me biased, but I’ve always thought that Taylor Swift was an overblown pop star whose sole purpose in the music industry is to crush the 7-15 year-old female demographic. After ‘NSync and the Backstreet Boys ditched us in the early 2000’s, who was left to sing vaguely catchy break-up songs that their angsty little hearts could relate to due to how widely applicable the lyrics are?
Taylor Swift, that’s who! With her squeaky clean image and the whole “Boo hoo I was so bullied and I’m just like everyone else wahh” act, she’s the perfect cash cow.
“So what?” you say indignantly as you feverishly cling to all your preconceived notions about Taylor Swift being a goddamn angel. “All kids suck, she grew up! She’s 25! She’s amazing! That doesn’t prove shit.”
But as Billy Mays ever-so-eloquently put it…
At this year’s Victoria’s Secret fashion show one model, Jessica Hart, was reportedly not allowed to walk because of Taylor.
“It’s not been announced that Jessica is not walking, but it was a direct request from Taylor that this be the case if she were to go,” one well-placed Victoria’s Secret insider tells Confidenti@l. “No one can know that Taylor requested Ms. Hart not be in the show. They want to keep that under wraps, but that’s the facts.”
Our source says that behind closed doors the singer gave Hart a Swift kick in her perfectly sculpted butt. Taylor had her team remove the Australian stunner from the spectacular show during talks that again landed Swift the coveted gig at the event.
After last year’s production in New York, Hart took what was perceived as a dig at the “Blank Slate” singer, saying: “God bless her (Taylor Swift’s) heart. I think she’s great. But I don’t know, to me, she didn’t fit. I don’t know if I should say that.”
I mean it’s not like she lied, Taylor DOESN’T fit at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Compare this:
Taylor looks like she’s 12.
People who are 12 do not belong on stage at the Victoria’s Secret fashion show.
Despite the chief marketing executive officer for Victoria’s Secret denying the rumor by stating “There is absolutely no truth to this rumor at all,” we all know how it really is…
