It’s starting to get really freaking cold outside so I thought this week we’d take a look back at a woman who brought many a warm thought to our mind over the years: Elle Macpherson. Hard to believe she’s around 50 years-old now. You sure wouldn’t know it by looking at her.

Of course anyone who is a fan of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue (which means a vast majority of anyone that is male) knows that Elle Macpherson is the queen bee when it comes to those annual publications appearing on the cover a record five times: 1986, 1987, 1988, 1994, and 2006. Yes, she was so hot she made the cover 20 years apart. Like I said queen bee.
While her appearances in the Swimsuit Issue were fantastic, and they were, they don’t hold a candle to her 1994 appearance in Playboy magazine. In that issue she showed precisely why her nickname at the time was “The Body.” It was sheer perfection in every way. This photo shoot coinciding with her appearing nude in the 1994 film Sirens will forever be burned into the memories of those who witnessed them.

Many younger fans may remember her role on Friends playing Joey’s smoking hot girlfriend Janine LaCroix and even more recently Elle hosted the NBC show Fashion Star until it was cancelled this past summer and has also been hosting Britain & Ireland’s Next Top Model since 2010, as well as acting as an executive producer for the show. As you will see as you click on perhaps it’s time another Playboy spread, 20 years later celebrating the best issue they ever made. Just an idea, Playboy…see if you can make that happen. “The Body” has still got it.
