The Gloucester Cheese Roll is world famous for being one of the most ridiculous sporting events on the planet. You might’ve seen highlights from year’s past. There’s a chance you even saw a recap of the 2017 Cheese Roll here on BroBible because I’m a big fan of this event and look forward to the carnage ever year.
Well, the 2018 Gloucester Cheese Roll just wrapped up in spectacular fashion with veteran participant Chris Anderson setting a new record. He’s now taken home 22 double Gloucester Cheeses in his 14 years participating in the event (he’s 30-years-old). Over that time, Chris Anderson’s suffered bruised kidneys and a broken ankle but that never stopped him from competing in the most absurd sporting event on the planet. Chris won 2 of the 4 races this year.
The event is pretty straightforward: a 9-pound wheel of Double Gloucester Cheese is thrown from the top of the mountain and then participants have to haul ass down the mountain chasing it. Whoever catches the cheese is the winner. LOTS of people get hurt. So, without further ado, here are the brutal highlights from the 2018 Gloucester Cheese Roll:
