Zsa Zsa is a 9-year-old English Bulldog from Anoka, Minnesota who just took home the top honors at the 2018 World’s Ugliest Dog Contest. It’s a contest held every year at the Sonoma-Marin Fairgrounds in Petaluma, which is a short drive North of San Francisco.
Every year, dog owners show up at this contest with their disfigured, balding, and lovable furry friends in hopes of taking home the coveted title of World’s Ugliest Dog. Last year’s award was won by a Neapolitan Mastiff named Martha who had so many eye wrinkles you couldn’t even see the dog’s eyes. This year’s World’s Ugliest Dog award was given to Zsa Zsa who has a lolling tongue that hangs out of her mouth as she walks. Her eyes are glossed over and she has a very wide and peculiar gait. Zsa Zsa is a mama’s girl who likes to be held, nd she has two teeth sticking out of the bottom of her mouth.
There’s something about Zsa Zsa’s appearance that suggests she’s far too large for her body. It’s like the muscles and fat are trying to pop out of her skin but instead, they stay tucked away neatly and she looks like a stuffed sausage or a blown up balloon.
For her win as 2018’s World’s Ugliest Dog, Zsa Zsa’s owner received a $1,500 check. According to NBCBayArea, Zsa Zsa’s owner find her on a pet-finding website. This is also the 30th year of the World’s Ugliest Dog competition.
