I Am Personally Offended By 21 Savage’s Disgraceful Halftime Performance At The Hawks Game

I’m going to try super hard not to hate on the rap newcomers who have made me lose faith in a generation. But the man that you just heard is signed to Epic Records, has gone platinum, and his studio album Issa Album debuted at number 2 on the US Billboard 200 chart. (Ok, I’ll give him this–the album name Issa Album is genius.) With knowledge of that information, close your eyes and really listen to the plane crash we all just heard.

The real losers here are Atlanta Hawks fans. Not only is their team 3-12, but this performance occurred during halftime of the Hawks vs. Kings game, with the Kings posting an impressive 3-11 record. The Hawks blew the Kings out of the water–winning by 46 points–and it’s hard to believe they were energized when 21 Savage stepped onto center court.

I just screamed at a youngster to get off my lawn. I don’t even have a lawn.

Granted, the acoustics of a halftime performance at a sporting game probably aren’t ideal, and it remains a mystery if Savage was having difficulties with his in-ear monitors, but I’ve seen high schoolers trying to push their albums on MySpace give better performances than whatever that was.

The Atlanta rapper is currently dating Wiz Khalifa’s ex, Amber Rose, but she’s gotta be a ride or die chick to keep him around after this.

I’m not going to pile on him too hard, Twitter did all the heavy lifting for me.

The anti-drug people gave him a $50 savings bond for his brave contribution to crime-fighting, and upon the bond’s maturity 10 years later, he used it to buy his very first bag of marijuana.
