Adam Sandler Responds To Getting Turned Away At IHOP By Waitress Who Didn’t Recognize Him

It hasn’t taken much to irritate me over the past 12 months, but the fact that IHOP has not engaged at all with the Adam Sandler IHOP video that has been viewed several million times makes me never want to eat another pancake ever again. Denny’s would have brought the heat.

As a refresher for anyone who was trapped in a Chilean mine last week, 17-year-old Long Island hostess Dayanna Rodas didn’t recognize Sandler when he arrived with his young daughter to dine at the Manhasset International House of Pancakes, thus telling him it would be a 30-minute wait for a table.

Instead of playing the Do You Know Who I Am? card, Sandler opted to leave the restaurant and linger outside while game-planning another option.

Sandler has finally broken his silence on the inconsequential encounter, taking to Twitter late Monday night.

The anti-drug people gave him a $50 savings bond for his brave contribution to crime-fighting, and upon the bond’s maturity 10 years later, he used it to buy his very first bag of marijuana.
