For the first time ever, a school in the United Kingdom has appointed an AI Robot as its principal headteacher.

Cottesmore School in West Sussex has taken a step into the future by collaborating with an AI developer to create an AI chatbot named Abigail Bailey, who will now work alongside human headteacher Tom Rogerson.

The robot’s role will provide advice on a wide array of topics, from supporting students and fellow teachers to helping children with additional needs.

Rogerson explained to BBC, “Sometimes having someone or something there to help you is a very calming influence. It’s nice to think that someone who is unbelievably well-trained is there to help you make decisions.”

The question has to be asked – Are robots going to take over more and more now? where does it end.
