Former 90210 star AnnaLynne McCord and her fiance, rugby star Danny Cipriani, have reportedly amassed $8 million combined, yet they are asking fans to pay for their wedding with a crowdfunding site.
“Gift any amount, contribute to our journey! Help us create our dream wedding and honeymoon experience with any amount of donation,” the registry on Honeyfund reads.
According to Page Six, the wedding will take place on Oct. 22 in Los Angeles. On the crowdfunding site, McCord and Cipriani are asking people to pay $100 for their marriage license, $1,000 for the rehearsal dinner and $1,200 for wedding floral arrangements. It also includes a link where people can donate anywhere between $10 and $5,000 in cash.
Though it’s unknown how much donors have contributed thus far, the photography fund still has six spots available for a $300 contribution.
Danny Cipriani, 38, was a professional rugby union player for almost two decades. AnnaLynne McCord, 39, currently stars on Days of Our Lives and has had main and recurring roles on shows like 90210, Nip/Tuck, and Dallas.
People are blistering AnnaLynne McCord and Danny Cipriani
Needless to say, the couple asking people to fund their wedding, and even donate straight cash, is not sitting well with many online.
“How crass and rude. If you can’t afford the wedding you want, have the wedding you cam [sic] afford — like 99.9999% of couples in history. Money-grubbing parasites!” one comment on X read.
“…how about you pay for your own f—— wedding?” read another comment.
“Are you going to crowdfund the divorce in 5 -10 years too?” someone else asked.
“It’s extremely tacky and distasteful to ask guests to pay for your wedding – especially in this town,” an insider told The Sun. ‘These are two celebrities who boast a lavish lifestyle.”
According to People, AnnaLynne McCord’s engagement ring is a 15-carat, emerald-cut diamond with seven round accent diamonds set in the band on each side, all in yellow gold. So, sure, they really need to be begging for help paying for the wedding.
