Arnold Schwarzenegger may not be the mass of muscle he was during his bodybuilding days, but there still aren’t that many people out there who are able to make him look small. However, his bodyguard was recently able to do exactly that and go viral in the process.
At this point, the 76-year-old Arnold Schwarzenegger doesn’t have a lot left to prove. The Austrian was dubbed “Mr. Universe” at the age of 20 before winning the Mr. Olympia competition seven times, and after taking Hollywood by storm, he pivoted to politics and served two terms as the Governor of California.
He may be getting up there in years, but you’d still have to be pretty foolish to try to take on a guy who stands at 6’2″ and hits the gym on a regular basis. Of course, when you’re as famous as Schwarzenegger is, it never hurts to have a little bit of protection, and he appears to have found a very worthy candidate in that particular department.
The Governator is currently making the rounds to promote a book filled with life advice that was published earlier this year, and he recently stopped by a Barnes & Noble in New York City for a promotional signing.
Plenty of people gathered outside the store to capture his arrival, and one person filmed him walking inside while flanked by a Shaquille O’Neal doppelganger who absolutely towered over the man he was tasked with escorting.

The Shaq lookalike had at least a foot (if not more) on Schwarzenegger, and while I attempted to track down some information concerning his identity, I wasn’t able to find any leads.
It seems like there’s a chance Arnold may have decided he needed to beef up his security detail in the wake of a strange incident that transpired in South Africa in 2019 where a man hit him with a flying kick in the back before being dragged away.
A guy that size is certainly a solid deterrent.
