With the release of Avengers: Endgame on Disney+, a handful of previously unreleased deleted scenes from the film have begun to hit the internet.
The first deleted scene, which features Robert Downey Jr., shows Tony Stark reuniting with his young daughter in the “waystation” dimension that is seen in Avengers: Infinity War after Thanos’ snap.
Now, the second deleted scene to be released shows Black Widow and Hawkeye fending off Thanos goons as they attempt to retrieve the Soul Stone from Vormir. As we now know, the scene was ultimately scrapped in favor of a more personal scene between just Natasha Romanoff and Clint Barton.
Disney’s decision to scrap the Attack on Vormir scene proved to be a wise one, as the moments between Natasha and Clint proved to be some of the film’s most poignant.
