The Internet Is Divided Over Bad Bunny Saying He’s Not Sorry For Throwing Fan’s Phone In The Water

Over the weekend, Bad Bunny went viral, but not because of his music.

On Monday, a video of the 28-year-old rapper started making the rounds on the internet. In it, Bad Bunny is seen being swarmed by fans while walking at night in the Dominican Republic.

As he is walking, one female fan attempts to snap a selfie with him with her phone.

The woman definitely invades Bad Bunny’s personal space as she appears to try to get both of their faces in the frame for the photo.

That only lasts a second or two before Bunny reaches up, grabs her phone, and launches into the nearby body of water.

Needless to say, she didn’t get the selfie she so desperately desired.

Reactions to Bad Bunny throwing the woman’s phone into the water were a mixed bag with some thinking he had every right to do it, while others believed he went too far.

“People need to stop acting like celebrities are their best friends. You’re a complete stranger to them — you can’t just run up, invade their personal space, and start recording,” one fan wrote.

“I like him but this was very unfortunate. Imagine if the girl is poor and can’t afford a new phone? He didn’t even ask her to give him some space before taking the phone from her hand,” another wrote.

After seeing all the hullabaloo online over his rash decision to ruin the fan’s phone, Bad Bunny responded.

Apparently that fan hadn’t read his recent interview with Billboard where he said, “2023 is for me, for my physical health, my emotional health to breathe, enjoy my achievements. We’re going to celebrate.”

Once again, reactions were very mixed.

“So if anyone wants a video or pic of me as I’m walking can I just take their phone and throw it somewhere??” another fan wrote. “No, it doesn’t work that way. If you had a problem with it you can simply tell her to stop. He was literally laughing and casually walking. He did not have to do that.”

Back in 2016, movie legend Bill Murray pulled a similar move when he tossed a fan’s phone off a rooftop because they were taking pictures of him while he was having a drink with friends at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
