Divisive comedian Bill Maher recently hosted disgraced actor Kevin Spacey on his podcast. Despite Spacey’s malignant reputation, however, it’s actually Maher’s conduct that’s been going viral on social media.
Despite the numerous sexual misconduct allegations against Kevin Spacey — there is an entire Wikipedia page dedicated to them — Bill Maher hosted him on his Club Random podcast nonetheless. During the interview, Spacey referred to the allegations against him as “a small kitchen fire that could have been put out with an extinguisher.”
The cringey-named Club Random sees Maher invite guests into a basement-like studio where they hold a conversation while he drinks and smokes weed. Maher is 70 years old. While Maher spoke with Spacey for over an hour and 45 minutes, it was Maher’s introduction to the show — which his official account clipped and shared — that’s been going viral on social media.

The clip has gained steam online for two reasons. The first is that Spacey has been persona-non-grata for over a decade now and hasn’t appeared in a Hollywood film since 2018. The other viral aspect of the video was Maher’s seemingly slurred speech.
“It’s just cringe to see these interviews where Maher is… slurring his speech,” read one reply to the video.
“Why is Bill so slurry?” a second asked.
“Slurred speech and inability to stay on track isn’t a smart look,” a third added.
“Bill I can barely understand you with all the slurring,” a fourth complained.
“Man he walks out of gate slurring his words.” … “Maher sounds like he’s slurring a bit.” … “He’s slurring like it’s 1am.” … “Maher is slurring so bad. What a joke.”

While Spacey hasn’t been in a major studio movie in almost 10 years, he has been acting European films such as Once Upon a Time in Croatia, The Man Who Drew God, Control, Peter Five Eight, The Contract, 1780, Torrente for President, Holiguards Saga — The Portal of Force, and The Awakening.
