Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds could tuck tail and jump ship to Europe following their embarrassing legal woes, according to English tabloids. A report has indicated that the pair could be eyeing a move to the United Kingdom following Lively’s de-facto defeat in the Justin Baldoni case.

According to reports, Blake Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds are eyeing a move to Europe to escape the fallout from the legal battle against It Ends With Us director and star Justin Baldoni.

A British tabloid is claiming that Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively could move to the United Kingdom in response to the fallout from the Justin Baldoni case

Radar Online cites unnamed sources and points to the recent dismissal of 10 of Lively’s 13 claims against Baldoni, ongoing “mean girl” characterizations in the press and court of public opinion, and alleged strain on high-profile friendships, including with Taylor Swift.

“Blake and Ryan are desperate for a fresh start away from all the stress and misery that’s totally taken over their lives,” revealed an insider. “Even if they wind up doing it for a temporary period, they want to get away and clear their heads.”

“Blake and Ryan own a home in Europe, which has become a perfect asylum from the endless noise. They will almost certainly keep a base in the States, but at this point, it makes sense for them to relocate for a while, get away from all the sniping and work to rebuild their reputations. Things can’t get much worse than they are right now.”

PR experts have theorized that Lively’s losing legal battle has irreversibly dented her reputation among consumers and standing in Hollywood.

The A-list couple reportedly bought a house in the suburbs of London. Reynolds also has deep connections to the United Kingdom since becoming the owner of Wrexham A.F.C. (located in Wales) in 2021.

In 2024, Lively filed a lawsuit against Justin Baldoni — the pair starred together in Sony Pictures’ It Ends with Us together, which Baldoni also produced and directed — alleging inappropriate on-set behavior, harassment, and an ongoing smear campaign against her.

In response, Baldoni filed a $400 million countersuit against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and Lively’s PR representative Leslie Sloane, alleging extortion, defamation, breach of contract, and more. Baldoni also filed a $250 million libel lawsuit against The New York Times.

Judge Lewis J. Liman dismissed 10 of her 13 claims in April, and the two sides settled earlier this month before the remaining claims went to trial — with Lively receiving zero dollars.

Baldoni’s attorney Bryan Freedman immediately declared it a “total victory” for his client. Lively’s team has subsequently attempted to frame the outcome as a moral victory.

Even prior to the Baldoni drama, it’s not as though Lively’s film career was terribly prolific, as she starred in just six live action movies between 2012 and the release of It Ends with Us in 2024: Savagers, The Age of Adaline, The Shallows, Cafe Society, All I See Is You, and A Simple Favor.
