Brittany Mahomes and Taylor Swift are totally fine. Don’t let anybody tell you otherwise!
The wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and girlfriend of tight end Travis Kelce do not have beef. Their friendship is alive and well.
That was abundantly clear during Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots. They sat next to each other in a box at Gillette Stadium.
It was obviously not tense.
Some might even say that it was friendly! (It me, I am some)
All of this chatter stems from a rumor that swirled online throughout the week. Deuxmoi, a prominent pseudonymous Instagram account that publishes celebrity gossip, ran with some chatter about the international popstar and her WAG companion.
It said that “local Boston sports talk radio also confirmed your Brittany Mahomes and t swift distancing.” Other scuttlebutt online suggested that Mrs. Mahomes was going to tabloids with information about her hangouts with Swift. She was accused of being a mole.
NFL fans, who are quick to jump on Patrick’s wife at any opportunity, piled on. Swifties, who were skeptical of the Mahomes family (Jackson) at first, also panicked about their queen’s new friendship.
In the end, as is often the case, it was much ado about nothing.
Brittany Mahomes and Taylor Swift are fine. There is no “distancing.” There is no beef.
There is always a chance that Swift has an incredible poker face and is keeping her true feelings toward Mahomes close to her chest. But let’s be real.
Mahomes isn’t going to the press with any leaks. She didn’t create a rift in her friendship with Swift.
It would be very funny if the latter did actually choose to distance herself from the former, and it would provide some incredible content. Imagine the memes!
Fortunately, or maybe unfortunately depending on your outlook toward life, that is not the case.
