In addition to his seemingly endless list of talents, Bradley Cooper is also, famously, a really great guy.

One of the more famous examples is when Brad Pitt got on stage for an acceptance speech and credited Cooper with helping him get sober.

This latest instance, however, may take the cake, as Cooper apparently swooped in off the street to aid model Brooke Shields while she was having a seizure at a New York City restaurant.

As Shields recently revealed in a new interview with Glamour, after she was “having a grand mal seizure… Frothing at the mouth, totally blue, trying to swallow my tongue,” the next thing she remembers is “being loaded into an ambulance… and Bradley f—— Cooper is sitting next to me holding my hand.”

“I couldn’t really get any words out. But I thought to myself, ‘This is what death must be like.’ You wake up and Bradley Cooper’s going, ‘I’m going to go to the hospital with you, Brooke,’ and he’s holding my hand,” Shields said.  “And I’m looking at my hand, I’m looking at Bradley Cooper’s hand in my hand, and I’m like, ‘This is odd and surreal.’”

As for why Cooper was on the scene, Shields’ husband Chris Henchy did not respond to calls from the restaurant, which led to “multiple assistants” getting involved and eventually discovering that Cooper was in the area.

“His assistant called Bradley and said, ‘Brooke’s on the ground. Chris isn’t around. Go get her,’” Shields said. “And he came and somebody called the ambulance. And then it was like, I walked in with Jesus.”

The most important lesson to take away from this anecdote, other than to make sure you always have friends like Bradley Cooper, is that this is yet another reason why New York City remains infinitely superior to Los Angeles, where your nearest pal could be just 15 minutes away but take an hour to get to you because of traffic.
