A few weeks ago, news broke that Hollywood icon Bruce Willis had been diagnosed with dementia, effectively ending the 67-year-old’s decades-spanning career.

Despite Willis’ difficult situation, the actor is still being hounded by paparazzi photographers to such an extent that his wife took to Instagram to virtually beg them to stop.

In an effort to stop the deluge of paparazzi photographers bombarding her husband, Willis’ wife Emma Heming Willis took to Instagram to share a “PSA” about the situation.

“I know this is your job, but maybe just keep your space… Please don’t be yelling at my husband, asking how he’s doing, whatever,” Willis’ wife, Emma Heming Willis, said on Instagram. “The woo-hooing and the yippee-ki-yay’s — just don’t do it. Give him the space. Allow for our family or whoever’s with him that day to be able to get him from Point A to Point B safely. That’s my PSA.”

Prior to being diagnosed with dementia, Willis’ family announced last year that the actor was suffering from aphasia, which is a condition that affects a person’s ability to communicate and recognize faces.

In recent years, Willis made headlines for the bevy of direct-to-video films he made, which has resulted in questions being asked of his management team, particularly his agent and frequent producer Stephen J. Eads. From 2020 to 2022, Willis appeared in a staggering 22 direct-to-video films, with another two movies set to be released this year.

During his Hollywood career, which began on television in the 1980s, Willis became an action star thanks to his work as John McClane in the legendary action franchise Die Hard, Willis wasn’t only an action star, though, as he also worked with acclaimed directors such as Quentin Tarantino, Terry Gilliam, Rian Johnson, Luc Besson, M. Night Shyamalan, Steven Soderbergh, Wes Anderson, and more.
