A TikToker has gone viral after sharing how her son appeared to discover a very high-value pair of Nikes in Burlington.
There are all kinds of hidden gems at Burlington. But when this woman found some Nike shoes at the outlet store, she was shocked by how much they were exactly worth.
Good basketball shoes aren’t cheap, and it’s pretty clear that Nike is among the best. However, most of the time, unless you’re lucky enough to have a cashier ring it up wrong, the sneakers remain expensive.
So, when she found a vibrant pair of Nike shoes at Burlington, TikToker Bonnie (@indigo_child.84) was instantly curious.
Holding the sneakers, which are coral and blue with yellow laces, she shared her son’s discovery.
“So, I’m at Burlington y’all, and my son seen these shoes, and I thought these were some Kobes based off the logo on the inside,” she explained. “And he looked it up on his iPad, and this [is] what they go for, y’all. My son found the information on his iPad.”
As she said this, she showed viewers the iPad screen, which features an AI-generated Google summary. It includes a link to an eBay listing that seems to suggest the shoes are being sold for $1,967.
The video amassed 229,300 views.
BroBible reached out to Burlington and Nike via email and Bonnie via TikTok direct message.
A Flaw?
Some commenters were fans of the product. “I have those for me my son didn’t want them, I get so many compliments when I wear them,” one shared.
“My son plays basketball and he only wears Ja’s,” another added.
Others warned the TikToker that it is likely that the Jas she found in Burlingtons have a flaw.
“It’s probably because there’s a flaw in them. that’s so small. you can’t recognize it. I don’t think you’ll be able to flip them,” a third said.
While a fourth concurred, “All clothes and shoes, etc., that are in Marshalls in Burlington and T.J. Maxx have flaws. We may not be able to notice them, but every single thing has a flaw.”
What’s The Deal With These Nike Shoes?
As the screen indicates, the precise shoe model is the Nike Ja 2 Breeze Beyond Blue. However, it seems like the shoes aren’t worth as much money as the Google AI “sources” suggest. Many commenters also highlighted that same point.
On eBay, that exact shoe model is being sold for between $50 and $74.99. It is approximately 18 months old. The website Sole Retriever reveals that the sneakers were released back in March 2025. The site also claims that, when the sneakers first dropped, it originally retailed at $120 for men, $97 for GS, and $82 for PS.
Presumably, the reason it is slightly cheaper on eBay is that many of the shoes being sold appear to be second-hand. This exact model appears to no longer be on the Nike website. The latest snapshot from the Nike website via the Wayback machine is from July 2025, at which point the shoe is listed as being worth $84.97.
Ultimately, what this shows is that we need to be more skeptical when it comes to AI price quotes. This is the case even if that pricing seems to come from a legitimate website like eBay.
