Cara Delevingne confirmed that she and Amber Heard were once dating

Model Cara Delevingne recently confirmed she was in a relationship with actress Amber Heard while she was going through the process of divorcing Johnny Depp. Depp and Heard went through one of Hollywood’s most high-profile legal battles in the early 2020s.

During a recent interview on Louis Theroux’s podcast, Cara Delevingne confirmed that she and Aquaman star Amber Heard were dating while she was divorcing Johnny Depp and that the Pirates of the Caribbean lead was “driven crazy by jealousy because of it.”

Cara Delevingne says Johnny Depp was “driven crazy by jealousy” over her relationship with his ex-wife Amber Heard

When asked by popular British journalist and documentarian Louis Theroux about Depp being “driven crazy by the idea that Amber might be sleeping with you,” Delevingne responded:

“Am I meant to comment? It’s because we did a movie together, and it was called London Fields. He was also doing the movie. I think he was pretty driven crazy by jealousy. Nothing was happening at that point. Later, after they divorced, it had, I suppose.”

Delevingne said she and Heard “were close for a long time, and then when they were going through the divorce, yeah, we were entangled… But she was also entangled with other people.”

When Theroux suggested “Well, with Elon [Musk],” Delevingne replied: “There you go.”

Depp and Heard were married from 2015 to 2016, divorcing after just over a year amid mutual allegations of domestic abuse. In 2018, Heard wrote a Washington Post op-ed describing herself as a public figure representing domestic abuse, without naming Depp directly, which led Depp to sue her for defamation in Virginia, claiming the op-ed implied he abused her and cost him acting work, including his role in Pirates of the Caribbean.

Heard countersued, alleging Depp’s team had defamed her by calling her allegations a hoax. The trial began in 2022 under massive media scrutiny and the jury eventually sided largely with Depp, awarding him $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages (later reduced), while also awarding Heard $2 million on her countersuit.

Delevingne most recently starred in Club Kid, which was directed by Jordan Firstman and premiered at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year, where it was nominated for multiple awards and acquired by A24 for $17 million.

Heard, on the other hand, hasn’t starred in a film since 2023, when she appeared in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom and In the Fire.

Then, there’s Depp, who’s on the verge of his Hollywood comeback as Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol, releasing later this year, and 2027’s Day Drinker are set to be his first major studio films since 2018.
