Amy Cooper, the white woman who called police on a black man in Central Park after a dispute about her unleashed dog, is facing the consequences of her actions.

On Memorial Day, Cooper was filmed calling the police and telling them that an African-American man was threatening her life when in reality all he did was ask to put a leash on her dog.

Cooper, who was immediately doxxed by the Internet, has since apologized and says her life is being “destroyed” right now due to the video.

Amy Cooper told CNN she wanted to “publicly apologize to everyone.”
“I’m not a racist. I did not mean to harm that man in any way,” she said, adding that she also didn’t mean any harm to the African American community.

Amy Cooper told CNN that since the video was posted, her “entire life is being destroyed right now.”
“I think I was just scared,” she said. “When you’re alone in the Ramble, you don’t know what’s happening. It’s not excusable, it’s not defensible.”

Less than 24 hours after the video was posted on Twitter, Cooper has been let go from her job as head of insurance investment solutions at Franklin Templeton.

She also surrendered her dog to Abandoned Angels Cocker Spaniel Rescue after social media users accused her of animal cruelty for grabbing and pulling the dog by the neck throughout the video.

Update: Michael Fischer, pres. of the Central Park Civic Association, is calling for Cooper to get banned for life from Central Park.
