Dogfish Head is getting in on the game day festivities with their first-ever Super Bowl ad, which will be airing exclusively in the coastal Delaware area.
While some advertisers spend upwards of $7 million for a 30-second Super Bowl commercial, Dogfish Head is bringing its off-centered ethos to the football field by debuting one of the year’s smallest ad buys – ringing in at about 1,000 times less than $7M figure.
Because who needs crazy production budgets and endless celebrity cameos when you’ve got electric football and delicious IPAs to make a commercial?
For those outside of The First State, here’s what founder Sam Calagione and his team have whipped up for the big game. The ad pays homage to Sam’s innovative use of a Tudor Electric Football Game to create Dogfish Head’s 90 Minute Imperial IPA.
