A Chicago man reveals how customers are able to finesse Walmart with a Uno Reverse trick to pay less for angus steaks.

Prices at the grocery stores continue to rise across America, and consumers are feeling its weight. In particular, steak and beef prices have been drastically impacted. To fight this, one Chicago man found a trick to earn extra savings at Walmart.

In a TikTok with over 447,900 views, Turbo (@spank_washedit) reveals how customers can finesse Walmart with a Uno Reverse trick.

The Walmart customer is back at his vehicle when he unveils the trick he seemingly pulled. Turbo bought a three-pack of angus steak, which was labeled $18.67. The steaks are dense, wide, and thick, making this an extremely fair price. However, there’s a reason for the great deal; Turbo pulled a sneaky sticker swap.

The man peels back the $18.67 label and reveals the sticker below is for $57.67.

“What you talking about boy,” he says.

In a conversation with BroBible, Turbo shares that this was a skit and is supposed to be educational.

Turbo told BroBible, “It’s to raise awareness to Walmart so people don’t do these things. You have to pay the higher price for the steak. But also buy a cheaper pack and just make a cool skit.”

‘Telling On Yourself’

Viewers in the comments section couldn’t believe the Chicago man exposed the trick.

“Why you post that,” one TikTok commenter wrote.

“Telling on yourself is crazy,” one added.

“I bet he kept the sticker,” a third commented.

Other viewers chimed in that they do the same, and for that reason, he needs to delete the post.

“Ayo, that’s my move. You shouldn’t have told the internet. Now they going to be on our a- smh,” one shared.

“Bro, delete it. Can’t give out the cheese,” one suggested.

“Stop giving out the game before we get caught,” one commented.

Why Is Steak And Beef So Expensive Right Now?

The price of steak and beef continues to soar in price across America, and it feels like there is no end in sight. NerdWallet reports that beef prices have risen about 6% in the last year, with steak being up 4%. It’s easy to point the finger at politics or tariffs, but there is more at play impacting the beef prices.

To begin, the U.S. has experienced the lowest national cattle supply since the early 1950s.

One of the primary reasons there is a shortage of cattle is the U.S. has experienced years of drought that has forced ranchers to sell cattle, Circle J Meat shares.

Ranches rely on rainfall to produce grass to feed the cattle. If a drought occurs, ranchers will need to buy hay or sell cattle since they won’t be able to provide food for them.

Is It Going To Get Cheaper?

Buying hay has hit record heights, which leaves ranchers with a difficult choice to sell cattle. Just as growing grass is harder to grow without rain, hay is the same. Considering droughts continue to happen year after year, ranchers aren’t able to financially keep up with the rising costs. This leads to ranchers selling cattle, which can take years to rebuild the inventory back up.

In addition to the droughts, inflation and tariffs do play a factor in the prices as well. Rising costs from inflation appeared in production, labor, fuel, and transportation, which have all impacted beef prices. In most cases, these costs will get passed onto the consumer.

Despite having less supply, American taste buds have not shifted away from consuming beef. But with less of a supply, the more the beef will cost them.

NerdWallet shares that beef prices will go down when the demand decreases, supply increases, or both happen simultaneously. However, due to the strong consumer demand, tariffs, and limited beef supply, the price will most likely continue to rise.
