Staad (@heystaad) shares that a Chick-fil-A worker declined to fix her order when she received the wrong sandwich.
Getting the wrong order when eating out can definitely put a damper on the day. While some will accept the mistake, many think life has gotten far too expensive to not get what you pay for.
Staad (@heystaad) shares in a TikTok that received over 198,500 views that a Chick-fil-A worker declined to fix her order.
Staad says she has a ritual of eating a spicy chicken sandwich from Chick-fil-A when she has a free hour away from her kids. It’s the only sandwich she ever orders. However, her tastebuds were thrown a curveball.
There was a miscommunication during the ordering process.
“Literally rolls out of my tongue… morning or night. I’ll order that,” she shares.
She says while she asked for the spicy chicken sandwich, she was given a regular sandwich.
“’I thought it was spicy,’” Staad recalls asking the worker.
The Chick-fil-A worker, she says, verified that they were going to give her a regular sandwich and asked if she wanted spicy instead. Staad, of course, says she confirmed she wanted a spicy chicken sandwich. However, she didn’t want to cause any inconvenience.
“’If it’s too late, it’s fine,’” she says she told them. However, she wasn’t expecting her response.
“’It kinda is too late because it’s already cooking,’” the worker replied, per Staad.
“I’m only bummed because it’s my free hour with no kids and I wanted to eat a spicy sandwich in the parking lot,” the on-screen text reads.
‘Not Very My Pleasure Of Them’
Chick-Fil-A workers were shocked by how the employee handled the situation.
“I used to work at Chick-fil-A. She cannot say that, it’s never too late. You’re always supposed to make sure the customer gets the right food even if a customer says they’re missing fries. We’re not allowed to check the receipt. We just give the customers what they want. Chick-fil-A is really strict on customer service; she just didn’t feel like it,” one wrote.
“I worked at Chik fil A. They have some on the line. They will always accommodate you if your order isn’t right. Next time, don’t stress about it. The worst scenario is you’ll probably get parked to wait for the spicy sandwich, but then they throw in a complimentary entree card,” another added.
Other viewers encouraged the mom to stand up for herself and refrain from being a people pleaser.
“Girl no! It’s their job. You order what you want to pay for,” one commented.
“Girl, stand up for yourself,” another encouraged.
“What?! In this economy? Nah I’m getting what I want. You were too nice,” a third shared.
“Idc if it’s cooking. Give it to the person after me,” a fourth said.
“That’s not very ‘my pleasure’ of them,” another quipped.
Can You Change Your Order At The Drive-Thru Window?
Mistakes happen when ordering via the drive-thru.
Typically, customers will try to address the issue when they get to the drive-thru window. However, this move is considered to be a major no-no, Yahoo reports. Drive-thru staff don’t like when customers change their orders at the drive-thru window because it can clog the drive-thru line.
Orders and cars pile up as one customer’s accommodation is made.
There are three different approaches that can be done instead. The first is to go inside and directly resolve the issue outside of the drive-thru line. This allows the drive-thru to continue to run smoothly.
Although, if you went in the drive-thru, chances are you don’t want to leave the car. If this is true, a request can be made at the window and offer to park up, where a worker can bring it over.
The last approach is to reenter the drive-thru line and start the process all over again.
If you don’t want to do any of that for your messed up Chick-fil-A order, a refund can be requested. Chick-fil-A does offer a refund when the order is missing an item or wrong. To do this, a simple call to the restaurant’s location is all that’s needed.
