Jiang Xueqin, also known as “China’s Nostradamus,” has made several pretty dire predictions for the United States in 2027. Among them are widespread unrest, a mandatory military draft, and a complete economic collapse.
Unlike Baba Vanga and a man known as “Living Nostradamus,” Xueqin Jiang is an educator and political analyst who forecasts the future geopolitical landscape by analyzing historical global occurrences. In the past, he has foreseen that Donald Trump would retake the presidency in 2024 and that he would go to war with Iran.
Will the United States become embroiled in a civil war?
Xueqin predicts that in 2027, “all the ingredients for a civil war” will be in place in America. “I don’t mean actually two militaries fighting each other, but I’m saying, like, nationwide discontent and riots and protests and insurgencies,” he told podcast host Jack Neel earlier this year.
He also predicts that the United States government will reinstate a national military draft that would require men as young as 18 to enlist in the military due to the need for ground forces in Iran.
“I think this war between the United States and Iran will only escalate…You’ll see a ground invasion of Iran, in which case America’s going to be stuck there for four years, I think, is optimistic. Possibly ten, 20 years,” he said.
Xueqin claims that this will result in a potential civil war sparked by widespread demonstrations and rioting, an eventual economic collapse, and an increased presence of ICE in key U.S. cities.
Additionally, Xueqin thinks that in anticipation of economic unrest and a military draft, the National Guard could be deployed in every major American city.
“If America goes into Iran with ground troops, if it’s committed for four or five years, if America loses this war, it means the collapse of the American economy,” he added.
He clarified that ongoing closures of the Strait of Hormuz might be the catalyst that destroys the world economy. Xueqin warned that another shutdown in 2027 could cause global instability because rising gas and fertilizer prices will continue to trickle down to other items, including food.
Politics will become an even bigger focus of controversy in 2027
Another prediction by Xueqin concerns the U.S. midterm elections in November 2026, which will determine who controls Congress. According to him, the outcome “will not be the way people expect it to work out.”
“I’m not saying they’ll be canceled, but what I’m saying is that right now, Donald Trump and the Republicans are trying to pass something called the SAVE America Act,” he said.
To register to vote under the proposed bill, he says individuals would need to provide documentation of their U.S. citizenship. Additionally, it would impose more stringent citizenship and voter identification requirements.
He also said during his recent “American Prophecy” speech in Austin, Texas, that he believes Trump will win a third term in the White House despite the constitutional provision that limits the president to two elected terms.
“I’m fairly convinced that right now he is intent on remaining in power and he will succeed,” Jiang said.
