We’re a year-and-a-half removed from the “distracted boyfriend meme” being universally regarded as the Meme of the Year, but it’s still bringing great pleasure to people thanks to none other than Captain America himself, Chris Evans.

The popular meme, which has even been used by the Hungarian government in a propaganda campaign (and getting rightfully mocked for doing so), is literally the gift that keeps on giving.

From being a solid Halloween costume, to an amazing fictional backstory, to spin-off memes, the “distracted boyfriend meme” is a juggernaut.

And over this past weekend, it took its legendary status up one more notch when a fan at ACE Comic Con in Seattle asked Evans to pose for a photo imitating the famous threesome.

Even better, ComicBook.com reports that Evans even talked about becoming a meme during a panel at the event.

“I was surprised how many postures I would strike that work so seamlessly,” said Evans. “You don’t think you’re making a move that would work for it but then all of a sudden you’re like [gestures] and it works. It’s kind of hilarious. Yeah, those are so funny. They crack me up. My younger brother was the first one to turn me onto it. He sent me a bunch of pictures and I thought they were just so funny. They really cracked me up.”

Naturally, the combination of America’s ass and one of the all time best memes (plus the fact that she got to actually hold Evans’ arm with her bare hand) was almost more than some people on the internet could handle.

Nailed it.
