Actress Cristin Milioti is best known for playing Sofia Falcone in The Penguin and “the mother” on the long-running CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother, but a video making the rounds shows she can flat-out sing, too.
The clip — taken at one of Cristin Milioti’s recent performances at Joe’s Pub in New York City — shows the actress performing Fleetwood Mac’s “Silver Springs.”

“Palm Springs? Modern Love? Black Mirror? And now this? Run for office, Cristin. We’re in,” one of the top comments on the video reads.
“Silver Springs,” written by legendary frontwoman Stevie Nicks, was cut from Fleetwood Mac’s iconic album Rumours because it ran too long and moved too slowly, and was later released as the B-side to “Go Your Own Way.”
The song became increasingly popular in the late 90s when Fleetwood Mac later revisited it for their 1997 live album The Dance, with that version earning a Grammy nomination.
As for Milioti, while her vocal talents may come as news to some, she earned a Tony nomination in 2012 for Best Actress in a Musical for playing Girl in the Broadway production of Once. She has also sung on Glen Hansard’s 2012 debut solo album Rhythm and Repose, and in 2021 released her own cover of Bon Iver’s “715 Creeks.”
Milioti most recently starred in the indie horror film Buddy, which hit theaters in late August and grossed over $26 million on just a $3 million budget.
Next year, she’ll be starring alongside Glen Powell in the Judd Apatow-directed comedy The Comeback King, and the FX series Seven Sisters alongside Elizabeth Olsen.
